CCC Week 4...

Posted by Picasa
Well here is my take on this weeks challenge from the
lovely Linda :)  As the challenge requires you to have
a copy of the book I cannot go into too much detail. I
will say that a couple of people mentioned to not hurry
the last step, well I think I may have waited too long
instead but I think it turned out pretty good in the end.
My issue was with my dabber paints, they have all gone
completely solid!! I spent a lot of time trying to get one to
work and eventually found one that had not been opened
which happened to be the metallic gold. Not sure that it
was the best one to use for the process but I do like how
regal looking this turned out using that colour.

So if you are up for this week's challenge go over to
Linda's blog to find out which page to turn to, and have
fun trying out this technique.

Marlene, it turned out great! The gold really does give it a regal look, which is so perfect for this rock'n roll image! I LOVE it! The little crackled crown is the perfect touch.

Oh, those dried up paint dabbers! I can totally relate. I have to rehydrate mine most every time I want to use one.

Thanks for bringing this beauty to the Challenge! Can't wait to see what you create next week. ♥

Hugs,
Linda

Looks perfect. I love that heart stamp! I think many of us were not letting our paint dry enough. Seems like dabbers drying out is a common complaint. Annoying.

Love this, it is stunning!! Some of my dabbers are quite thick, have you tried watering them down? Also love your monooprint from last week which I seem to have missed at the time - beautiful!!

I think it turned out fantastic with the metalic gold. I have been trying to use my paint dabbers more often now, so if they are getting to thick, just mist a bit of water and shake. Thanks for visitting my log and leaving comments!

I like it! The gold reminds me of tarnished brass, very shabby chic.

I love how your challenge piece turned out! The good times sentiment is perfect! I did not realize the daubers woudl dry out - not cool! This is the first time I used them! Mostly I use regular acrylics!

Hello Marlene,

I like this tag ! It's simple but you added the right touches.
The stamp completely fills the tag, so that gives a good composition and the little red ticket adds an eyecatcher without overwhelming the tag.

greetings from Belgium
