CCC Week 33...

Well here we are at challenge #33, hard to believe it is almost
over. For all the details please go and visit Linda.

Well even though this seemed like a simple technique it was a little
frustrating. We needed to use alcohol inks and I always have a
problem with the felt on the applicator tool.  Does anyone else find
little stringy threads from the felt laying on their project stuck
there with the alcohol ink, or is it just me? The good thing is that
you can wipe it all off and start over but this week it happened
every time, I ended up just pouring the alcohol ink on the metal
heart and letting it dry. Took a while to dry and I can still see those
pesky little threads!
I was going to do more metal but decided to leave it as is before I
had enough. I used a Gelly Roll Stardust pen on the card but it
really does not photograph well. I love using it as it does look ever
so shiny and sparkly in real life.

Marlene, I love this design! The heart looks great (yes, I get those tiny threads, too, and I just try to think of them as "extra-added distress!"). The background is soft and pretty, and the filmstrip is a brilliant embellishment. I really like the stitching around the border-- it really gives the piece a classy, finished look.

Loving your version. I don't often get the stray things you talk about but only now and again and when it's on metal I can not leave them so i can imagine how frustrated you were ;0) looks like you have managed every one so far good on ya hun. I love them all

love dawn xx

Love it Marlene, especially the heart and wings...really fab! Yeah, those fibers, don't know what other material would work as well, though. A lot of times, I just do what you did, pour it directly on...lol...

Wonderful creation. I've never noticed any white stuff from my felt maybe your felt is too nice, I use dollar store felt, quite thin.

You're too hard on yourself. I love your entry! I ended up pouring the ink on my flowers too. I love the use of the filmstrip. Everytime I view entries I notice items I have in my 'collection' and haven't used in a while. Can you believe only 3 weeks left?

I used a tiny paint brush for my CCC#33, because I tore off the applicator tip when try to take the nib off! Love your #33 and the metal embellishments turned out fabulously! Have a great weekend!

Love the wings and crown.
I have resorted to buying my felt in yardage from the fabric store, Works really well and no more fuzzies.
