CCC Week 20...

So hard to believe that over on Linda's blog we are up to week
20, go visit her to find out all the details of this week's challenge.

This one actually was one of the quickest challenges for me,
as in I did not spend ages pondering over what to do. I did
not have one of the tools that was mentioned in the technique
so just made do with what I had on hand.
I decided I wanted to use metal tape for the wings but that
stuff is always so hard to photograph as it is so reflective,
didn't come out too bad though.

I also have decided that I need to get myself some more
quote/sayings kind of stamps, as every week I am going
through my limited supply trying to find something that
will work for the project. Any one have good
suggestions as to where I can find some good sayings?

Great job on this technique, Marlene! Looks fab with your background! As far as sayings, Cats Life Press has a lot of saying stamps.

Marlene, this was a tough challenge to scratch and dent the grunge but yours turned out fantastically. You always do great challenge pieces.

And, thanks for visiting my blog.

Omigosh, Marlene, this is AWESOME! This is the very definition of distressed beauty, and you completely rocked the industrial grunge technique. The winged heart is fabulous, and the lovely red and pink background is such a great contrasts with it beautifully. I truly love everything about this cool piece-- to me, it looks like something Tim himself would create!

I'd love to find more sentiment stamps, too, so please let me know if you find a great source for them. I often end up making my own on the computer, and it would be great to have a stash of cool quotes in the stamp drawer!

Oh, so cool. Love how grunged that heart is!

Everything works really well together there-the grunge, wings and background all look great. I too share your concern about being limited by finding the "right" sentiment from what seems a limited set. I occasionally combine Idea-ology tags/keys/etc with words on them as a solution.
